What's your vision?
I need a book cover for a Kindle and Nook ebook. The title of the novel is THE AXMAN OF NEW ORLEANS. It is the story of a detective chasing an ax murderer in New Orleans in the early 1900s. Ebooks use a thumbnail-size cover, so the details of the cover must not be so small they cannot be seen. The specifications are: 800 pixels tall by 600 pixels wide, 72 dpi, color RGB. Below I am posting a link to Amazon's Kindle website for thrillers and mysteries. You can get a feel for what these types of book covers generally look like. I want my name at the top of the cover: CHUCK HUSTMYRE (ALL CAPS) and probably stacked: CHUCK HUSTMYRE and centered, but if you think they go better on one line, that's fine. I want the title THE AXMAN OF NEW ORLEANS at the bottom. Because the title is long, the size of the words "The" and "Of" can be reduced, perhaps with AXMAN above the words NEW ORLEANS. The (smaller font) AXMAN of (smaller font) NEW ORLEANS But if there is another design you think looks better, I will consider it. You will get credit for the cover design on the copyright page and I will post a link to your website or email if you want. Mystery and Thriller designs samples: For examples browse Amazon's Kindle store for thrillers: http://www.amazon.com/Mystery-Thrillers-eBooks-Kindle/b/ref=amb_link_355831402_25?ie=UTF8&node=668008011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-1&pf_rd_r=1M5W406V1KM1EFRFDF50&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1322176822&pf_rd_i=1286228011
The cover design needs to reflect the dark and dangerous theme of the axman, who murdered nearly a dozen people. Other themes in the novel are corruption, pain, loss, and grim determination (of the protagonist cop), who risks his career and life to catch the killer.

And then… they selected a winner!
Jake is an incredible designer and I can't recommend him strongly enough. I'm confident in saying that if I had gone with anyone else, the cover wouldn't have turned out nearly as well as it did. If you care about the quality of your project and you're looking for the absolute best, look no further.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
