Til-Tops is a Northern European outdoor activity company. Til-Tops develops, consults and owns tree-climbing and other nature activity parks. We manage our own parks, offer franchises for Til-Tops activity parks, and shared services for small businesses in the outdoor activity space. The print ad to be developed is for Til-Tops Bornholm, our outdoor activity park on the tourist island Bornholm (Denmark). Target audience for the print ad: 1. Tourists coming to the island for their summer holiday. The ad needs to get them to come to the Til-Tops park during their holiday. a. It’s mainly families with children between 0-16, but also couples. b. They are active and outdoorsy. Bornholm is known for beautiful nature, cycling, hiking, white sandy beaches, arts & crafts. c. They typically stay 1-2 weeks and use the magazine where the ad will be published to find inspiration on what to do during their holiday. d. Competing activities: other parks and outdoor activities, ranging from waterparks, bird-of-prey shows, to mini golf, cycling and so on. 2. Locals living on Bornholm either full time or for the summer. a. The park opened in 2016 so we’re going into our 2nd season and not everyone is aware of Til-Tops having opened shop. b. For the 2017 season we have made quite a lot of changes to the park, giving locals who know the park already a good reason to come back.
What's your vision?
ITEM TO BE DESIGNED • Full-page print ad in color (1/1 page 4C) for a print magazine called “Denne Uges Bornholm” (= Danish for “This Week in Bornholm”). o Height 250mm o Width 176mm OBJECTIVE OF THE AD • Awareness of Til-Tops as a great option for outdoor activities on Bornholm – no matter your age, fitness level or group size. • Interest in Til-Tops’ 3 key activities: tree-climbing, Disc-Golf, Football-Golf • Desire to try at least 1, ideally several of the activities during their holiday. • Action so that the target audience plans his/her outing, ideally by making an online reservation straight away. HOW WE WANT TO DO THIS • We need a print ad template please, which we can adapt with o Text in a different language (we will need to publish the ad in different languages over time) – i.e. the layout template is fix, but the text boxes are workable. o A promotional message if needed (the content of the message might change over time, for example we might want to put a highlighter in “this week night-climbing at 8pm on Thursday”) o Watchout is that we have no specialized software to do this – we work on MacBook Air computers with Office installed (yes…. sorry!). • We need to be able to create a final PDF for submission to “Denne Uges Bornholm” o PDF-file with minimum 300 dpi • We need to respect the submission deadline of the final ad, which is 20 May 2017
- The print ad will be published in “Denne Uges Bornholm” (“this week in Bornholm”), which is a magazine targeted at tourists and locals, informing them about what’s where in Bornholm, and what’s on in a week. See attached some screenshots of the magazine. The e-version of the magazine is available here: http://www.e-pages.dk/bhstid/1364/ - The ad will be co-branded between Til-Tops Bornholm and Nature Event o Til-Tops operates the climbing area within the park o Nature Event operates the Disc-Golf and Football-Golf area within the park o Both entities share the common area incl. parking lot, check-in, café/kiosk, toilets etc. - About the activity park o The park opened in 2016 as a tree-climbing (high-rope) park. It has 7 tree-climbing tracks, thereof 1 specifically for children as of age 3. • 3 of these climbing tracks “go live” this season, i.e. they are brand new. • 1 of these climbing tracks has an extra long zip line (>250m) o In addition there are 2 new activities in 2017: Disc Golf, Football Golf o There’s free parking and possibility to bring your own picnic – the park has a terrace, large garden and pond, and is situated in beautiful surroundings (forest & fields). o We have a kiosk where guests can buy cold and warm drinks, ice-cream and snacks, and from this season on also food items such as sandwiches and salads. o For people who don’t climb, there’s a Gallery with modern abstract art on show and sale. Entrance to the gallery is free of charge. o The park website is http://bornholmklatrebane.dk. Structure and content of the site are being re-worked as we speak. - Mandatory text content for the print ad o The ad will mainly be in Danish and will contain a summary section in English (there are lots of non-Danish speaking tourists on the island.) Et højdepunkt er den lange svævebane, en skøn 250 meter lang tur over åben mark. One of the highlights is the extra long zip-line, a 250m long panorama line with a view of the beautiful Bornhom landscape. o Fodbold Golf (nyt i 2017): Prøv dine evner på vores 18-hullers bane. Piger mod drenge, yngre mod ældre, forsvarsspiller mod angriber - hvem i din gruppe vinder pokalen og kommer ’under par’? o Disc Golf (nyt i 2017): Kom og prøv denne sjove aktivitet for alle aldre - en disk skal kastes til og i vores 9 ”huller”, og ramme målet – en kurv - på så få forsøg som muligt.
