Sorghum Syrup Spirits “CODELLANNI” Barrel Aged 2020

(The notation in English is after the Japanese.) ソルガムシロップは、米国中東部ではポピュラーな食材で、メープルシロップやアガペーシロップに似ている、グルテンフリーの健康食材ですが、日本ではまだあまり普及していません。 ただ、ソルガム自体は、和名モロコシ、タカキビと言われていて、日本でも実は、昔から雑穀として親しまれていました。 シロップが収穫できる糖分の多い品種は、日本では、実は牛の餌用の品種でしたが、牛の餌になる前に、シロップだけ人間が頂いて、お酒を造ろうと思って作ったのが、このソルガムスピリッツになります。２０１９年に、既にソルガムスピリッツ「コデランニ」は、発表し発売されていますが、（コデランニショップウェブサイトhttps://www.codellanni.shop/wp/） ２０２０年にこのスピリッツを樽仕込みしまして、３年の熟成期間を経て、この度、 “ソルガムシロップスピリッツ「コデランニ」樽熟成” のリリースとなりました。 なお、ソルガムシロップから作られたスピリッツは、日本で最初となります。 樽熟成を経たこのスピリッツは、ウィスキーと見間違うほどの美しい琥珀色の仕上がりになっていて、３年と言う短い熟成期間とは思えないほどの、まろやかさと芳醇な味わいが特徴です。 しかも、大変まろやかで飲みやすく、まるで７年とか１２年などの長期熟成ウィスキーのような芳醇な味わいを、気軽に、手軽に味わえる仕上がりになっています。 最後に、このスピリッツの原料となるソルガムシロップの普及に関連して、広くソルガムの栽培事業は、今後、世界の飼料事情の改善や再生可能エネルギー普及促進に寄与するものと確信をしています。 Product description: Sorghum syrup is a popular ingredient in the Middle East of the United States. It is similar to maple syrup and agape syrup, and is a gluten-free, healthy ingredient. However, sorghum itself is called Morokoshi or Takakibi in Japanese, and in fact, it has long been popular in Japan as a millet. In Japan, the varieties with a high sugar content from which syrup can be harvested were actually used as feed for cattle, but before they all became cattle feed, I thought we human being would like to squeeze the stems and get only syrup to make alcohol from it and then we made this sorghum spirits. In 2019, the first sorghum spirits “Codelanni” has already been released. (Codelanni shop website https://www.codellanni.shop/wp/) In 2020, we prepared this spirit in barrels. After a three-year aging period and finally “Sorghum Syrup Spirits “Codelanni” Barrel Aged”” has been released. In addition, spirits made from sorghum syrup is the first in Japan. This spirit, which has undergone barrel aging, has a beautiful amber finish that can be mistaken for whiskey. Moreover, it is very mellow and easy to drink, and it has a rich taste like a long-term aged whiskey such as 7 or 12 years old, so you can easily enjoy it readily. Finally, in connection with the spread of sorghum syrup, which is the raw material of this spirit, we are confident that the sorghum cultivation business will contribute to the improvement of the world's feed situation and the promotion of renewable energy in the future.
