SMUSH Skin Products/ SMUSH STIX is a brand new skin care/ lip balm company that is definitely not your hippy natured brand! We are looking to have an eye catching sexy label using our typographic logo. Our company is an edgier cosmetics company, so we want to portray this in the lip balm label design. Our culture is more modern/ cosmopolitan like a vibe that you would get in Miami South Beach, Ibiza, or Los Angeles nightlife! An Armani/ Gucci lifestyle. Similar to Rockstar Energy, our brand will represent an edgier demographic that likes to have a good time, party, and live life to the fullest but would like a simple timeless design.
What's your vision?
The logo colors can be adapted to the flavor, but does need to pop out in color or by making shiny. We will be launching with a mint flavor then following with a cherry and chocolate. Black tube will be used. The label will have a pull tab to expose the "Drug Facts"/ Ingredients so we have plenty of room on the surface for design creative. Although we want to present our tag line/ slogan "smush it on!"on the label creatively, we really want to present our logo as the main element on the label first, and the tagline/ slogan "smush it on!" second. Please highlight the Q10, Vitamin E, and SPF 15 ingredients on the label in a clean and crisp way. We really want to have our tag line/ internet address emphasized so would like to have “smushiton.com” to standout on the label. Leaning towards a black background to the label, but am open to new creative ideas if those do come to mind. Overall the label will be 3.75 inches in length x 1.75 inches in width. The overlap over the Drug Facts will be 1.75 inches in length. Safety Seal Net Wt .15 oz (4.25G) Please do not use any "Lips Graphics". This is not the direction we want to take. Please do not use light pastel colors as the prominent colors on the label. Please leave appropriate room for UPC code. A few years ago I thought to myself how relevant the word "smush" is to the cosmetics industry. If you think about it, when you apply any cosmetic whether it's lotion to lip gloss, essentially your literally going to "smush" the product on when applying. When asking someone how to apply, you may hear "smush it on". I wrote the word on paper, and thought how cool the logo would look if done in different fonts, but more so if done creatively enough to capture the culture of the brand. Shortly after a television show on MTV called Jersey Shore was released. In the television show the word "smush" represented a cute way of referring to having sex , then causing a new underlying meaning to the word. I thought to myself this would be a great cosmetics brand name that would really exude a feel and culture similar to what Monster and Rockstar Energy Drinks have created within their product niche, but a lifestyle maybe a bit toned down from them in regards to music and extreme sports, and still appealing to both male and females. "SMUSH" will exude a lifestyle of living life to the fullest! Consumers that exist and cross into all the lifestyle cultures listed can live out this lifestyle. The tag line "Smush It On!" is catchy and can't helped to be remembered, and thought back directly to the product. Remember, we are on the other side of the spectrum from the guy with a beard who plays with bees…. We want our customers to “Smush It On!”
