Pyramyd Air is the largest online distributor of airguns, airsoft guns, and accessories. These metal targets are designed for challenging ways to hone shooting skills using small caliber airguns (.177 & .22). Target audience are mostly men who are novelty shooters, ages ranging from 30-60.
What's your vision?
Design packaging for 2 metal targets. These will be included in a family of products, so when designing think of how each target can stand on its own, yet feel cohesive when set next to all the other targets. On the package, a photo of the product must be included on the front. Background is open as long as it is similar to the attached examples (labeled "design inspiration"). We are looking for a black ( or dark) background with a bright spot color for text/graphics. We are open to reversing that where a bright spot color is in the background and use black text/graphics. We will have a family of these targets and would like them each to have their own designated color.
White backgrounds are out of the question (white gets too dirty on store shelves), we are open to other color backgrounds besides just black, however a bright spot color would pop best on a dark background. We do not want the packaging to look like it was designed to appeal to young children (use best judgement if choosing a color besides black as the background). As far as photos of the targets, only requirement is the main photo (front view or angled view) must be on the front. On the back and/or sides, you can crop/zoom photos any way you would like. The photos included are prototypes of the targets-we will replace those images once we get the final product. For the AV logo, you can use the initials logo or full logo on front, back and sides-but the full logo should be included somewhere. Attached are also examples of existing target packaging-one is labeled "bad example"-this one is very bland, too much text, and no hierarchy. Another is labeled "ok example"-this one is an ok design-nice background, nice color choices, but too much text on the front.
