How Steve324439 started their product packaging journey
Boldness! Big fonts and bold contrasting colours
Not the font, but the colour contrast
This is great, it's all about grabbing the eye from the shelf

The Wasp-Away Decoy Wasp Nest
Description of the product
The product is a fake wasp nest, that people hang in their gardens to scare away other wasps so that they do not create a nest nearby. There is a leading competitor with a very similar product called "The Waspinator" and that is available by this link: https://waspinator.co.uk/
Description of the product target audience
It would be bought by:
People who are afraid of wasps
People who do not want to kill wasps
People with small children
We want to design the outer box to fit our decoy wasp nest. The product will be made available in shops, in particular in garden centres and supermarkets in the summer.
The product needs to highlight that the product is non-lethal to wasps as this is a significant differentiator between our product and other mainstream pest control (like sprays and traps).
Predominant colors are Yellow and Black.
What to avoid
We do not want to share the same colours as the Waspinator product.
We do not want cartoon images of wasps (other than the LOGO) - this is intended to be a serious product.
We are designing a tube shape, that is 8cm in diameter and 17.5cm in height.
We like these little icons. We want to use similar things to highlight the benefits (use Loren Ipsum and the text from the back of Waspinator Sample.PDF)
Colours, boldness, logos
Love the agressivness
This is the sort of product that it'll be sat next to on the shelf
The silver on this is really eye catching, we could try to find a way to implement this in our packaging.
