I'm a music producer and songwriter in Pop and EDM. I've had my old logo for years and it looks dated now. I want it to look professional and sleek for when I'm liaising with professionals in the industry, whilst also looking edgy and current and appealing to new artist clients.

My old logo is pretty basic, boring and outdated. I like the idea though of being able to pull something out of the text to have as a stand alone logo - although this is not essential. I would like it to be horizontal and linear - RICH PILKINGTON - not on top of each other. You can find my current logo at www.richpilkington.com and get a bit more of an idea on here for my style/image. I am in the process of redesigning and updating my website so although it is currently quite EDM orientated it will include a lot more Pop Music focus. Logos I like: http://www.careyclayton.com/ https://www.corystearns.com/ https://www.markeckert.com The examples I've updated and attached are a little thick and a little too bold but I'm looking for something in that realm mixed with the logos in the websites I've attached above. Sleek, Professional, and sharp looking. No cliched music notes, waveforms, etc.

Oh, what a fun it was to design this! Sometimes the designer's soul is so tired of the serious companies and "high-end" briefs, so dealing with such a funky client was a total pleasure! The client wanted a personal branding for his new Youtube channel called "The Cure for Normal". A fun bright wacky feel was what he was looking for. I was lucky and wacky enough to meet his expectations :D

Minimalist mark and vibrant collaterals for Oceano Music Fest
Oceano is a music festival to be held at Pismo State Beach in California in October. The client in this instance had a precise idea of what they wanted as a mark (a simple arrangement of lines with a ridge), and we developed from this the core aesthetics of the festival in posters and social media imagery. The posters revolve around a custom graphic in the same circular aspect of the mark, representing frequency and vibrance.

Wordmark and cover art for ISSAN, electronic music artist

ISSANN is a US electronic music artist participating in the emergence of "wave" music. The client came to me for a new logomark and cover art based on a mix of futurism and echoes of cyberpunk. Regarding the logo, I chose to dispense with a separate mark and retain only a wordmark, taking the bold step of splitting the artist's name. Two small interventions on the Ns are enough to point to the future. The framing within an outline square establishes the wordmark as a clear logomark. On the cover art, the client was looking to explore female forms. I created a female figure in geometric triangulation, based on a custom 3D model. In the background, as a counterpoint, are abstract waves, also geometrically triangulated. Departing from the dominant color aesthetic of the scene within which the artist works (mostly blue, purple and pink), I employ an orange, yellow and burnt brown aesthetic, pointing to multiple futures instead of the stereotypical generic.
