Mirthy
UPDATED BRIEF: Hi All - I've been advised to drop the tree logo. See advise from a marketing director friend -
Alex, I like the name, a lot, and it gives great opportunity for imagery that will align with the mission, which this design company haven’t drawn out in my view, unless the brief was to develop a corporate brand.
They need to think about the words you used in your beif; Mirthy is about (connecting people). We want to create a world where older adults (live well and love life). We will start by getting the most out of UK care homes for our lonely and older population by turning them into (hubs for the local community).
You will be able to book adult day clubs in care homes using an Airbnb style bookings platform. Our hosts will provide (fun, social environments) with (interaction and stimulation) for older adults on a short-term basis, whilst giving peace of mind and respite to families and carers.
So that’s about People Enjoying Life. None of that comes across in the tree logo that looks like a cross between Mulberry and another brand that for the moment escapes me. The only one that comes close is this one in my view (although it could do with losing the green ball top centre and the grid of small blocks centre foot – less is more, etc., and it’s not clear what they represent, whereas the people interlinked is just what you’re trying to get at from your mission statement) .
Could you all please take this feedback on board, it feels like the tree wont work, and come up with something. I am sorry if you feel I have misled, but I am no designer so I have to go on my trusted colleagues advice.
UPDATED BRIEF: Mirthy is about connection, connecting people together. Could you come up with some designs that turn the M for Mirthy into a puzzle piece, so puzzle pieces (or coloured shapes) that come together to form the M

Our target audience will be older adults (75+) and their mature children who will prompt the parent to attend day clubs, and possibly be the buyer too.

Mirthy will be developed further into a market place for care, but starting with utilising free spaces in care homes to bring older people from their homes into the care home for activities.
The logo should be inviting and calming, instil a sense of trustworthiness and caring.
Thank you, I really appreciate you working on this.
