Create a winning social media page

I want to have some visual compatability with Rebelmouse, for example http://www.rebelmouse.com/rm_with_wordpress/ ... and my current front page, where the banner will go, embeds Rebelmouse items from http://www.rebelmouse.com/tim/ ... I like the look and feel of simple elegant, like http://liftfive.com. Although my present banner doesn't do it, I want to hint at things: business planning, entrepreneurship, my published works, etc. ... without being too obvious.

Look at the existing banner at http://timberry.com. That's my amateur design. It's way too cluttered and looks unprofessional. I include many different things I've done but I don't need any of them specifically on the banner. My personal branding is "ex-hippy entrepreneur business plan expert Stanford MBA and having a life while you do it." For more of what I do, there's my blog at http://timberry.bplans.com Optional: I'm the conceptual author of LivePlan at www.liveplan.com so we could include that logo, but I don't want to emphasize it ... and I'm founder of bplans.com so we could include that logo too, but I don't want to emphasize it. And we don't have to include either one. Optional: I'd like something that I could also use as background for the blog at timberry.bplans.com, in that case with the tagline that's already there. All of that is way too much for a wordpress banner, so if you can find a clean an elegant look that I'll be proud to display, that's the ultimate goal.

You'd never know it from the banner that's there now, but I don't like clutter. I don't like the banner that's there now.
