How marmalade started their web page design journey

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Marmalade is a women's clothing boutique that caters to stylish women aged 25-40 who want to look chic and current but not spend a fortune on their wardrobe. We have a brand identity that is a major part of the shopping experience at the boutique, which is very similar to Anthropologie's in it's design, aesthetic and merchandise.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
http://www.shopmeggie.com- love the home page but the site seems to not function very well. Love the font used in the navigation buttons and how they're written on what looks like a torn piece of paper. Also love the navigation links (and photos) below the main photo- very similar to anthro's site- as well as the fb/blog/twitter icons.
Since the advent of Facebook and all it's apps, I think more and more people are using that as the place to find information about the things they're interested in and are going to individual websites less and less...especially since FB is so interactive.
So I'd like the website to be essentially a splash page that has some basic info about the store (photos, our bio, etc) with some cool aspects that are links that will direct visitors to our facebook page, our blog, etc. so they can become fans and stay connected.
I'm looking for something clean, chic, whimsical, slight vintage vibe and the total opposite of my current website (marmaladesf.com) which I think is too busy and colorful. I get so much inspiration from Anthropologie, if you follow that design aesthetic you probably can't go wrong. :)
