absolute pleasure to work with him, extremely creative, brilliant understanding of product
Violatech was the only designer that carefully read through my description and provided me with mockups of all of my pages right off the bat. Violatech was responsive and willing to make changes whenever I wanted. I would work with them again for sure.
excellent work. thank you

Entertainment & The Arts
The main issue here is to display a lot of content clearly. Inspiration can be drawn from nearly any major news portal sites, for example huffingtonpost.com, chicagotribune.com, etc.
awn.com is a high content volume site focused on animation.
Looking for a three column homepage layout. The primary homepage content will be the listing of blog posts aggregated from numerous animation blogs. We'll link back to the blogs we aggregate on-click, rather than deeper into our site, so there's not a lot of subpage content. Therefore the home page is the meat of the site and really needs to present the content in a clear and well-organized way.
There should be spots for a couple of videos in the main content area. Twitter/facebook blocks in the right column. One banner ad spot at the top and one ad midway down the right column.
Main nav items are still TBD but would include some subareas of animation (i.e. 3D, studios, independent, student, festivals, etc.)
As yet, no logo or color scheme is finalized, so color is open. Logo/site identity will occupy approx. the top 140-150 pixels of the page.
I'm partial to the 960 grid system (http://www.960.gs) so adhering to the 12-col grid is preferred. However, a great design that stands out but doesn't fit the 960 grid won't be penalized for it...
