ABOUT US We are alsa-hundewelt GmbH & Co. KG – a company for dog food founded in 1997 and based in northern Germany. “Naturally healthy food - for a man's best friend!” This is our guiding principle to which we feel committed. It refers our esteem and love for the dogs and their special needs. With our own brand “alsa-nature” we are distributing high quality dog food which only includes natural ingredients and no artificial flavors. “alsa-nature” is exclusively available on www.alsa-hundewelt.de. Next to our main subject dog food we are also selling accessories like toys, shampoos, dog leads etc. In this sector we offer selected top-quality brand products from other manufacturers. OUR TARGET GROUP Our target group is predominated by women. The average age starts at 45 years and goes up to the end of 50. Because our products are placed in a higher priced segment, our target group is financially independent and willing to spend more money for higher quality dog food and brand accessories. Customers who buy their dog’s food on the alsa-hundewelt online shop love their dog as their own child. Mostly the dog is an important member of the family.
THE STYLE It should be much more modern and intuitive but still comfortable for our target group. After the redesign of our web shop, visitors should be able to recognize the CD of alsa-hundewelt immediately. Our customers are used to our structured navigation and appreciate the clarity of our current web shop. The new main navigation should be single-lined to make the look straighter and clearly arranged. Furthermore, the new online shop should be based on a horizontal design from 90 - 100 %. The pantone 350c of our Logo is typical for alsa and the customers are used to it. It is important for us to show 100 % transparency of what we are doing and who we are. Also, the advantages about alsa-hundewelt and our own brand alsa-nature should stand out the rest. (An overview about some general benefits are added below this briefing.)
Webdesign A responsive screen should be designed for iOS too. Homepage On this page it is important for us to catch the user’s attention. There should be an emotional header and structured information above the fold e.g. what we do and what we are distributing. The following parts should be given: - area for advantages about alsa-hundewelt: what do we stand for/what is our aim - service-boxes like nutrition consultant and our customer call-center - product recommendations such as top seller of the month - customer reviews Landing page for alsa-nature dog food A really important page where lots of online ads are linking to. This landing page should give a quick overview about what types of dog food we offer. The following parts should be given: - differ between wet and dry food - draw attention to our other food-categories like snacks, pouches or that we also have special dog food for special dog needs like allergies of cereals - an area for some advantages of alsa-nature would be great (naturally ingredients, no sugar, no artificial flavors). Product detail page The following parts should be given: - product picture/name/description - buybox with an “add to cart” button, the price etc. - customer reviews relating to the product - product listing recommendations About us This content page should inform the user about who we are, our aim and our esteem and love for the dogs. The style should be emotional and informercial to show transparency relating to our company and our team.
What to avoid
THINGS THAT SHOULD DEFINITLY NOT BE USED FOR A NEW DESIGN - bright colors like neon pink; please only use natural colors - photos with humanized dogs (wearing hats/glasses etc.)
