How Niall4 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We love beer. Our target audience is fellow beer lovers. The website needs to make it easy for customers to access our beer lists, upcoming events, photo galleries, locations (we currently have 2 locations), media, food menus, whiskey list and wine list. We have a lot of information and we need it neatly organized and accessible.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
The design must be clean and intuitive, and easy to read/navigate. We feel it makes sense to have a craft beer look and feel (large wooden bar, beer paraphernalia, beer taps, dark lighting). And finally, good use of photography is recommended.
We strive each and every day to bring our customers the best beer we can get our hands on. Our website needs to show this first and foremost. We also have a lot of events, so this needs to be well represented on the home page and navigation. For example, every Wednesday and Thursday, we have tappings (we make available a new beer). We take pride in our menu as well. Our food is not your typical bar menu…it’s very unique and eclectic.
What to avoid
No, except the swirls behind our current website logo needs to be removed.
We cannot stress how important the prominence of beer is. Most of our customers are so loyal because we take so much pride in finding unique, hard to find beers. Our events are the next most important part of the website. We have a lot of great events and people need to see that.
