AlesteDesign was a joy to work with. They read the design brief thoroughly and delivered a first draft that was incredibly strong. They are creative, out-of-the-box thinkers, and true professionals. They responded to any suggested changes immediately. There is a lot of talent here coupled with an incredible work ethic. It's a winning combination. Literally!
How Lisamairey started their web page design journey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am an author. I need a home page for my readers that will inform them of book signings and new releases, provide links to social media and provide access to my blog.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I like warm earth tones and wood/antique furniture, but don't want to appear too old fashioned. People visiting the site should feel comfortable and at home...as if they've just stepped into my office.
I need a Home Page desgin. This is a welcome page that should convey a lot about who I am and what I do just by "design". I would like it to be user-friendly but full of old world charm. I'd like it to look like a writer's office with desk, shelves of books, stacks of papers, phone, and pencils in a coffee mug. The books on the shelves or the nick-nacks on the shelves could be the navigational buttons to:
Links to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
Links to Amazon and Barnes & Noble
Calendar of Events
My book is titled "Wounded" so I'd need a book on the shelf with that on the spine.
I will also need a countdown box to book release.
I will also need a place to put a head shot of myself. Me in a picture frame on my desk? I don't know where to put myself. LOL!
What to avoid
I need to incorporate a tiger and a dragon into the page somehow. They can be on the pencil mug as an Asian design or on the tea pot as an Asian design or incorporated in some other fashion. (These would be a Chinese zodiac-styled tiger and dragon.)
