Website for RoverToTheRescue.com (an org that raises money for pet rescues)

Animal & Pet
Rover to the Rescue raises money for pet rescues in the United States. We do that by photographing and including a donor's dog in a coffee table book when they make a donation of $5,000 to a benefiting rescue. Therefore, the site should primarily speak to our target demographic (e.g., aflluent women between 40 and 70 years old). However, we also need the site to sell copies of the book and encourage people to adopt a dog by conveying the message that healthy, smart, loving, beautiful dogs are available for adoption. Finally, the site should provide rescues information about how we can help them attract new donors and raise money. 1. Please note, we are not going to have three pictures scrolling on the header or anywhere else on the site. Therefore, the photo on the top will be the black and white dog running toward the camera (home) in the woods. This image and others are available at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nrlx4z3ogm3cndz/kVdUelUf6l The caption in century gothic will read, "Every 8 seconds a dog is euthanized. Rover gives you and your best friend the chance to team up and be heroes help homeless pets find their way home. Be a hero. Be in Rover."2. We feel it's important to quickly explain what it is that we do. Therefore, there should probably be a picture of the Rover book toward the top with copy something like this..."In 2009 Andrew Grant produced Rover to raise money for pet rescues. Andrew's timeless tribute to man's best friend became a bit hit after being featured on Ellen. Now you can have your dog photographed by Andrew in the next edition of Rover when a donation is made.3. Next we should explain that we are photographing donor's dogs across the country to help raise money for over 20 rescues in the USA. A map of USA with tour stops may go in this area.4. Next we should feature the photo of Andrew photographing a dog in the studio.5. When a donor makes a donation of $25,000 their dog is photographed in featured in the book along with 4 dogs currently living in a rescue. Now, you can immortalize your dog in Rover (or make your dog famous) and be a hero to homeless dogs (as the donors efforts will help those 4 dogs get adopted).5. Next we should explain other features of the program (e.g., cover option, national cover option, order prints for the home, customized greeting cards featuring your dog are available, etc.). These could be featured in accordions or drawers that open when clicked. Provocative drawer headlines (e.g., Want to make your dog really famous?) seem like a good idea. 6. Next we should have a graphic showing that only a limited number of pages for donor's dogs remain available.7. Next, the collage of other donors should be featured with copy indicating that our donors have already raised more than $1,000,000 for rescues. 8. The submit form should be at the bottom of the page along with media and rescue logos. Thanks!
RoverToTheRescue.com. You may use any of our images/graphics at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nrlx4z3ogm3cndz/kVdUelUf6l
http://www.CrashPlan.com is a near perfect example of what we are looking for. We like the design, layout and colors of their site. www.MountainCollective.com This site feature drawers (for lack of a better word) that open and display additional text when clicked. This is would be an ideal fit for RoverToTheRescue.com We like the footer of GoDaddy.com We also like the design of 99Design.com
Home scrolling page will contain nearly all of the site content. We need an additional page for our blog where we can easily update new photos, events, etc.. Please make sure your design includes all of the following. Images and copy are available at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nrlx4z3o…kVdUelUf6l 1. Clean simple header. 2. Image of Andrew photographing donor dog in studio. 3. "Drawers" for lack of a better word that will open and display more copy when clicked. http://www.MountainCollective.com has a perfect example of this. 4. Image of collage of donors. Two colored (opaque) square will cover a total of 8 images on the collage. Those 8 covered images on the collage will be moved and added to a new fifth row of images. 5. A submission form design. 6. A footer comparable to the bottom of http://www.GoDaddy.com 7. A photo of the dog running on grass (will be added to the DropBox link soon). 8. 4. A series of graphics/icons that will take visitors through the six steps as listed below. Step 1. A graphic of the USA Step 2. Make a donation Step 3. Photo shoot Step 4. Your dog in a book! Step 5. Homeless dogs find a home Step 6. Your dog is famous or a hero (dog with cape) Please note, cross platform compatibility and scalable is critical as we want the site to perform on an iPhone, iPad and desktop.
