Description of the organization and its target audience
Kaapana is an open source toolkit for creating federated medical data analysis and quantification platforms, with a focus on radiological and radiotherapeutic imaging.
Obtaining the large amounts of medical data necessary for developing and training modern methods for big data processing by extracting it from their individual institutions is an extremely challenging effort that often fails, e.g. due to technical, organizational and legal hurdles. A federated approach where the data remains in the respective institution and is processed on-site is in contrast a very promising approach ideally suited for such a scenario.
Following this federated concept, the goal of Kaapana is to enable researchers and clinicians to perform large-scale multi-center studies by providing a framework and a set of tools for sharing data processing algorithms, for standardized workflow design and execution as well as for performing distributed method development and data analysis in a compliant way. By adhering to established standards and by adopting widely used open technologies for private cloud development and containerized data processing, Kaapana integrates seamlessly with the existing clinical IT infrastructure, such as the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and ensures modularity and easy extensibility.
Target audience for the planned website includes developers, researchers and medical professionals interested in decentralized and standardized image analysis.

The figure includes many of the logos of the technologies that are used in Kaapana.
The Kaapana toolkit for which we need the logo is open source on github: https://github.com/kaapana
You can find more details about the platform there.
Please emphasize the distributed/federated and the medical aspect of the technology. Also, feel free to create a design independent of the name "Kaapana". While this is of course an option, it is not a must-have to directly incorporate "Kaapana" or a stylized "K" in the logo.
